FOGARIM / Damane Assakane: the complete list of documents to prepare
Updated on 20 September 2026

An incomplete file is the main cause of delay. Here is the complete list of documents to gather for a FOGARIM or Damane Assakane application, by status.
The essentials in questions
What documents for a FOGARIM file?
Generally: national ID, proof of income suited to your status, recent bank statements (3 to 6 months), the sale agreement and property documents. The bank building the guarantee file confirms the exact list.
What income proof for a self-employed person without a payslip?
Instead of payslips: bank statements, tax declarations, activity certificates, invoices or a trade register depending on the occupation. The aim is to show a regular income even if informal — exactly what FOGARIM is designed to finance.
Do you need a down payment for a FOGARIM file?
The state guarantee greatly reduces the required down payment, though not always to zero. Still plan for acquisition costs (~6-7%), which are generally not financed by the loan.
Documents common to all profiles
- Copy of the national ID (and the co-borrower’s if any).
- Recent bank statements (often the last 3 to 6 months).
- Sale agreement or promise of sale for the property.
- Property documents: land title, plan, or equivalent.
Income proof: employee
The employee provides the last 3 payslips, an employment certificate and, often, a statement showing salary domiciliation. A regular salaried profile is better suited to Damane Assakane than FOGARIM.
Income proof: self-employed / liberal profession
Without a payslip, the self-employed justify income by other means: bank statements, tax declarations, activity certificates, invoices or a trade register. This is FOGARIM’s core audience, whose guarantee offsets the lack of a regular salaried income.
Prepare your file with a simulation
Before filing, simulate your loan and borrowing capacity: you arrive at the adviser with a clear budget, which speeds up building the file. See also our main FOGARIM & Damane Assakane guide to understand both schemes.
